Our story began during one of the hardest times the world has faced — the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the time, I was working as a fast-food delivery driver, often up to five nights a week, just to keep on top of the bills. Like many people, life felt uncertain and exhausting. That’s when my partner had an idea that would change everything — to start a small pet supply business built around care, compassion, and community.

I’ve always had a deep love for animals. I have cats of my own, my sister has a dog, my partner has a dog, and other family members care for reptiles and a variety of animals too. Being surrounded by pets my whole life showed me just how important their health, happiness, and wellbeing truly are. That shared passion is what inspired the creation of Pawfect Supplies Ltd — a business focused on genuinely helping pet owners give their animals the best possible care.

The business began online in 2020/2021, while the world was still navigating lockdowns and uncertainty. By the end of 2021, we were proud to open our first physical shop in our small village of Blackhall Colliery , where I stepped into the role of Shop Manager. Over the next four years, I ran the shop day to day — helping customers, answering questions, and welcoming countless furry (and not-so-furry) friends through our doors.

More recently, I’ve taken over the business full time as Managing Director, continuing the same vision we started with: to support pet owners with honest advice, quality products, and a genuine understanding of how much their pets mean to them.

After becoming part of the Blackhall Colliery community, we’re now excited to be taking the next step forward. We’re expanding our range of pet foods, accessories, and supplies, welcoming new brands throughout the year, refreshing our shop layout, and launching a new website designed to make shopping with us easier and better than ever for our customers.

I do this job because I know how difficult it can be to trust someone with your pet’s wellbeing. When all you want is for them to be happy, healthy, and loved, having the right support matters. That’s what Pawfect Supplies is here for — helping you care for your pets as if they were our own.
